A Tale of Two Missions: Chapter 36

Hey y’all!

Hope this week has been fabulous! And a very Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely women in my life near and far! I love you all heaps and hope your holiday was special for you!

This week for me has been pretty good(: Sister Procarione is an STL (Sister Training Leader) which is the sister equivalent to a Zone Leader in the mission, if you’re familiar with that.. So she goes on exchanges with all the sisters in the Zone to help train us all along with her STL companion Sister Serdar, and while they do that I get to go on trade-offs with Sister Serdar’s companion, Sister Tysoe (from Melbourne, VIC, Australia)! Which is about twice a week so it’s been pretty fun, and previous to the Stake split, I was doing it with Sister Larita (from the Philippines)! Lot’s of trade-offs and days to improve and be better than I am. (: I’m working on consecrating myself to the Lord’s work which is an everyday process.. But I’m getting closer and closer everyday! This week was my sister Olivia’s birthday and as tradition has it I made potato salad and egg salad sandwiches for me and my companion and we went and had a nice picnic in the cemetery across the street from our flat! It’s a really old one and the names and headstones of the people buried here are so fascinating (: it wasn’t quite as “homey” as Olivia’s cemetery back in Logan but it did the trick and was so lovely! I’m so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ that allows for the Plan of Salvation to come to pass and that my family can one day be together forever!! <3 I love this Gospel!

I hope this week finds you well and that you see success and happiness wherever you go! I’ll just be here doing missionary things like making nasty as face masks and becoming “a man” (as Mulan would say) whilst taking in the groceries… 😉

Love y’all heaps!

Sister Swan
