Welcome, welcome to the 51st chapter of the Book of my Mission 🙂 For those of you just joining us now: THANK YOU for being a part of my mission and my life and I hope you continue to be a part of my mission via these emails! <3
This week was TRANSFERS!! Ahhhh! So I sadly had to say goodbye to my beloved Wattlegrove.. and say hello to Bathurst, NSW! So sad to leave, but SO excited for the Bush! haha this will be my first time serving in a Branch (a smaller congregation in the Church, as opposed to a larger congregation known as a “Ward”) so it will be interesting to see how the work goes(: I know miracles will abound this transfer! My new companion is Sister Nansen! She is originally from Campbelltown, NSW (about 30 mins outside of Liverpool) but her family moved to Samoa 2 years ago and she got called right back! haha but she is the sweetest and I’m so excited to work with her! She’s been out for 9 months and is gung ho for the work!
Man, this week was INSANE!! We had our Movie Trivia night which turned out very well, yet chaotic haha.. I was just a ball of stress leading up to it and during it though because all the responsibility for our table and our investigators fell in my hands. So I had to completely make and come up with all the decorations and stuff on my own with some irreplaceable help from our beloved Chile family. Man they were AWESOME! they dressed up to the nines and Marco even won best costume in his Dalmation getup, haha Francisca was Cruella De Vil along with him.. it was fantastic. (pic next week hopefully.. I was too stressed out to take any myself haha I had to set up the decorations later to get a pic of them minus my awesome dagger lol)
But saying goodbyes were hard.. the Chile family was probably one of the hardest. Marco actually hugged and kissed me on the cheek… AWKWARD.. (as missionaries we aren’t allowed to do more than a handshake with the opposite sex..) but I adore this family so much so all is forgiven 😉 haha
Sorry if I didn’t get a chance to email you personally this week.. I have to drive out to Bathurst today so we were cut a bit short. (it’s a 3 hr drive through mountains and stuff.. pray for me so I don’t hit a kangaroo!)
Love y’all HEAPS
Sister Swan
