Hey y’all 🙂

So funny thing I found out last week.. When we moved into the apartment we had a ton of frozen fruit that a member left for us in our freezer (thanks Sis. Davis 😉) and so naturally I was psyched to make smoothies every morning! So I made some and asked Sister Jorgensen if she wanted one, and she would say “yeah!! I’d love that

thanks!!” And so I would make her one and I would usually only make them if she was the one showering first cuz I had more time to make them.. And this went on for almost a month… I would make the smoothie, she would thank me for the smoothie and everything saying it was delicious and whatnot.. so I would keep making them for her! Cuz she liked them, right? … baha WRONG! 😂 lol so later we were talking

about what foods we don’t like and she was talking about how she pretty much hates all fruit!! And I was like “wait.. But you like my smoothies!?” And she just froze.. Come to find out, she’s been POURING THE SMOOTHIES DOWN THE DRAIN WHEN I GET IN THE SHOWER!! 😂😂😂 I about died laughing.. She said she was too afraid to hurt my feelings by telling she didn’t like my smoothies!! She even went as far as to only

pour MOST of it out to make it look like she’d been drinking it the whole time I was in the shower… 😂😂 it was so funny! Haha she’s never gonna live this one down!

But it’s cool she made up for it last week when we were at a member’s house for dinner, and this particular member LOVES to feed us! Like soooooo much food! And we had unintentionally had a double dinner that night so we could barely eat anything as it were.. And this time she fed us rice and lentils with these little broiled hot dogs/sausage things. And idk what it was but these hot dogs did NOT sit well with

me 😂 I felt so bad but I just could NOT take another bite and there were still 2 whole hot dogs left on my plate! I was definitely starting to get sick lol but this member would just sit there and make sure we ate everything on the plate and then she would offer more.. So I was stuck.. Finally she left the room to go check on her daughter and I desperately turned to Sister Jorgensen and was like “you have to

eat my hot dogs! I literally can’t eat them!” Poor sister Jorgensen was almost as bad as I was with them.. But then I very sweetly reminded her of the smoothies, and so she ate my hot dogs for me 😁👍

On a more spiritual note.. CONFERENCE WAS AMAZING!! Gahhh it was SO good 😍 my favorite talks were those by Elder Holland, Devin G. Durrant (he was the Mission President here before our president now, Pres. Taylor! So Sister Jorgensen knows him!) and Richard J. Maynes and SOO many others goodnight I loved it! Go watch conference, if you haven’t watched it x)

And everyone should strive to “Ponderize” a scripture every week! And if you don’t know what that means, it’s 80% pondering and 20% memorization 🙂 so each week pick a scripture and strive to Ponderize it all week! I’m going to do Ether 2:25 ❤️

Oh and guess what?! We got another baptismal date!! It’s Karen! and she is soooo solid! I love her so much(: shes the one who approached us for lessons last week! We watched both sessions of conference yesterday with her and Todd’s family it was amazing(: I got to be the one to invite her to be baptized and she said YES! Goodness it was terrifying but SOO amazing at the same time! The feeling I got when I spoke the words of the baptismal invitation was incredible, I can’t compare it to anything but pure spiritual exhilaration. I love hearing people express their love of the Lord and their desire to be baptized! I adore being a missionary and helping others grow closer to Christ through our message. I hope everyone can one day experience the joy that this gospel brings!

I also invited Bob to be baptized on Friday, but he’s still hooked on how he was already baptized into the Methodist church… So we’re still working on him (; but he’s so close! We had a great lesson with him, he prayed at the end and told God that he hopes that he can one day have what “they” (meaning us as members of the church) have, it’s somethings special and he was able to recognize that spirit. His heart is softening everyday that he reads the Book of Mormon. What an incredible miracle that sacred book is ☺️

So Thursday was my “Mirthday”!! Aka my one-month mark! Haha it was so fun(: we had a training that day and we discussed the story of the Jaredites and their journey to America in Ether chapt. 2-6 I love this story! The book of Ether is so incredible! AND we finished the Book of Mormon as a mission!! (Look at my awesome Mission President and his adorable wife!) we read it in 40 days! Whoop whoop! I’m gonna start again(: I love it so much!!

Ps we spent the second session with the Bush family and they had this awesome idea to do Conference Cash! Where after each talk the listen to, they get $1 and $2 for if they write in their journal as well. Then during the hymns they can cash in their “cash” for treats and goodies in the “bank”. It was brilliant!
