A Tale of Two Missions: Chapter 4

Hey y’all (:

This week we had a lot of meetings! But it was another week of miracles!

But first thing’s first…. OUR FAMOUS WARD MISSION LEADER, BRO. DORMAN GAVE ME A SIGNED A BOOK THAT HASN’T EVEN BEEN RELEASED YET!!! AHHHHHH!! I only fangirled a little bit… Lol and he’s way more famous than for just Fablehaven.. He did the Candy Shop Wars, several picture books including those by Glenn Beck, and he’s doing the new line of the Goosebumps series!! And he’s written a few books! He’s seriously so great! He showed us how he does his art on his computer software which was incredible! I kinda want to do that now! I would love to be a children book illustrator/author! Gahhh it was so cool!!!! Ok.. I’m done now 😜

But this week has been great!! We met with the James and Lori again with their kids and watched President Uchtdorf’s address from the general women’s conference! We watched it with Bro. Dorman and his family! 🙂 if you guys haven’t watched the women’s conference I really recommend watching it!! There was some amazing talks!! I loved it!! We had some young women aged investigators named Apat and Nyangdeng watch it with us(: they are so awesome!

On Thursday we went to a sisters training conference!! (That’s where the picture of all of us was taken) and we got to be with a little more than 1/2 the sisters in our mission! It was an amazing conference! We discussed the story of Esther and since the. We’ve taught that story to like 5 investigators! I adore Esther and her

story! She was so strong! And we also read Elder Holland’s article from January 2010 called “The Best is Yet to Be”. This is SUCH a great talk! In it he tells the story of Lot’s wife and cautions us to not look back on past mistakes or happenings. I recommend that y’all read it(:

One of the miracles that happened this week was a less-active member named Todd and his girl-friend Karen came to church and we have been wanting to teach Karen for SOOO long! But we just haven’t been able to get in with them.. She has incredible comment in Sunday school and seems just golden! And so yesterday we came up to her trying to think how we could get a lesson with her, and before we could say anything SHE ASKED US to start the lessons!!! What?! We were so psyched!! She’s incredible!

And our other investigator Jing is so close to baptism! We can feel it! Next time we meet we’re going to invite her to be baptized(:

One last recommendation!! Read the Living Christ!! (If you don’t know what that is, it’s a special proclamation given by our prophet and apostles in January 2000 proclaiming the reality of the living Christ) It’s amazing! I’ve been working on memorizing it(: and I’m almost done! It’s such an inspirational proclamation! It seriously will bless your lives by reading it! ❤️

Also Sister Jorgensen and I have been working on learning songs on the ukulele! So I thought I’d send this recording of “I Am A Child Of God”(: we recorded it for her little brother’s birthday but I thought it was worthy of sharing! I love using music to share the gospel! We’ve also learned “Book of Mormon Stories”, “Nearer My God To Thee”!

Love y’all!!
