A Tale of Two Missions: Chapter 62

What up mates?! 😊

Please enjoy this tidbit of Bathurst Truth and Logic…. Reasons why Jesus Christ is actually a Unicorn: He has long silky hair, He shines like the sun, He was discussed in the Bible (find the unicorn scripture!!), He was chased and persecuted because of His greatness, He was killed for a ransom, His desire is to save righteous mankind, people wonder at His existence, His touch brings healing, and last but not least His blood grants eternal life. <3

Unfortunately, here in Bathurst we don’t see any Unicorns… BUT we do have the second best thing: shorn alpacas.. enjoy. *pics below*So for Halloween we went and carved Pumpkins with the other sisters in our Zone πŸ™‚ and let me tell you… it is SO hard to find stinkin “real” pumpkins here! The things they call pumpkins here are actually squash, and they only bring out the Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins the week leading up to Halloween and every store in Bathurst ran out.. but luckily the Sisters in Orange found some(: so I carved a Temple.. you can’t really tell though in the pic, but it’s there haha x)

Also on Halloween we bought a cute little CHRISTMAS TREE!! Our halls are so decked right now… 😏 but don’t worry we’re actually decorating it for Thanksgiving first. So we’ve been writing things we are thankful for on little strips of paper and are creating a thankful paper chain πŸ™‚ so please send me 1 to 3 things you are thankful for this year/week and we’ll put them on our chain❀🎄 ALSO, I STILL NEED SOME CHRISTMAS ADDRESSES (: thanks to those who’ve sent them already!

This week we did some tree cutting service out at the Remme’s and they got the chainsaw stuck in the tree so they let us pose with it.. (don’t worry mum I didn’t cut my arm off.. yet haha) Also, Australia is beautiful and birds are grazing animals here… AND!! We had our first almost disastrous run in with kangaroos last night!! It was so cool haha! We were driving home from our last appointment which happened to be a 1/2 hr into the bush, and it was like 9:05pm so we had to book it before we turned into pumpkins.. so we came around this corner to see 2 roos just chillin’ on the road and so I slammed the brakes and honked the horn (which is what they tell you to do here..) and immediately these blokes go mad and start running around the road, one direction of which was straight towards the car! haha poor fellas.. but luckily I’d slowed down enough at that point so we just drove around them.. but it was a neat close up encounter that I’m sure scared the daylights out of two of Bathurst’s finest roos πŸ˜‰ haha good times, good times..

So this week we are finishing week 6 of Sister Cramer’s first transfer!! She’s great (: I love her so much, and I’m learning heaps from her! Heck, she’s training me! But we received some bitter/sweet news last week.. her visa has been cleared and it’s just a matter of like a week or two before she flies to Brazil! I’m so sad!! I’m going to miss her so much but we’re just gonna have a ball this week (literally haha we’re going to make early Christmas yarnballs for eachother lol) and we’re going to fry up some lamb brain (yes, you heard this ex-vegetarian right.. Australia changes you mate!) for Zone Pday on Friday and not tell anyone.. shhh πŸ˜‰ anyways the work is amazing y’all and life is great! I love Bathurst, I love the Australia Sydney South Mission, and I love the Lord! Hope your week is fabulous! <3

Love always,
Sister Swan
